Best one for calculating SHA1 hash and MD5 I've got a problem with Microsoft tool FCIV for calculating SHA hash, because it doesn't include any help available. Notes in Microsoft KB don't give essential information. And your software do it correctly with appropriate hints. BTW, I find transfer speed information very interesting for user.Thank you a lot.

computes hash value(checksum) for any file HashX 1.0.1.2 HashX is a powerful yet very easy to use application designed for computes hash value(checksum) for any single file, it allows you to verify that downloaded files are not corrupted or otherwise unusable before you burn them to disc or host them on your file server.

It works excellently to check single downloaded files for many checksum algorithms. I have only used it once for SHA1. You can paste in the expected checksum to easily see if it matches. It installs like a windows program to the start menu and desktop. All those are handy features and it is fast and easy to use.The only thing one might miss is the possibility to validate a whole e.g MD5 checksum file against many files. But for single files it does its job splendidly.

HashX worked well. It can verify files and compare hash values in a good efficient way.
